New-Look 49ers Look To Get Back To Top Of NFC West

Although the San Francisco 49ers went 8-8, it felt like the team won half that amount in the 2014 season. After two NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance in a three season span, the 49ers went from 12-4 to 8-8, lost head coach Jim Harbaugh to his alma mater Michigan, and quarterback Colin Kaepernick went from hero to zero.

Jim Tomsula is now the man in charge to get the Niners back to where they were only a couple of seasons ago. He’ll do it without Frank Gore and Michael Crabtree on the offensive side, both of whom leaving for the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders, respectively. Reggie Bush is Kaepernick’s new backfield weapon, along with second-year running back Carlos Hyde.

In a surprising twist, the 49ers have to proceed without their defensive captain and leader Patrick Willis, who retired, putting an end to his eventful eight-year NFL career that earned seven Pro Bowl appearances. Darnell Dockett was added during the offseason to help fill the void.

There’s been a pretty large amount of turnover for a team that was successful recently.49ers ticket prices still remain healthy for the team’s second season at Levi’s Stadium. According to ScoreBig, below is information on the 49ers most expensive and least expensive tickets this season, which both happen to be road games.

Most Expensive: 11/22/2015 | Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers | CenturyLink Field | Average Price: $533.08 | Get-in Price: $230

The 49ers and Seahawks have had some incredible battles over the last five years, while fighting it out for NFC supremacy. Although the Niners were unsuccessful in 2014, these two teams have been competing for Super Bowl appearances and NFC West titles for the past three seasons. The Niners lost both matchups to the Seahawks last season in Week 13 and Week 15, only scoring 10 points combined in both games. Kaepernick threw for zero touchdowns and two interceptions in the two meetings.

Least Expensive: 9/27/2015 | Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers | University of Phoenix Stadium | Average Price: $206.25 | Get-in Price: $58

The Arizona Cardinals swapped spots with the 49ers last season and earned a spot in the playoffs before anticlimactically falling to the Carolina Panthers due to significant injuries to the quarterback position. Arizona’s defense has mostly carried them the past few seasons but suffered some key losses to their roster and staff that might alter their position in the NFC West standings. The Niners lost their first meeting with the Cardinals in Week 3 last year, but won their final Week 17 matchup to finish the season 8-8. The two NFC West clubs should pick up where they left off with their competitive division rivalry.

The 49ers most expensive home game is on 10/4 against the Green Bay Packers. With an average ticket price over $400, save as much as possible on parking through ParkWhiz.com, who has gameday deals for Levi’s Stadium parking.
