Bruce Miller Potentially Out For Season

Some not so good news coming in from Santa Clara today. Taylor Price of 49ers.com reports that starting FB Bruce Miller has an injured Scapula (Shoulder-Blade). Reports are that the injury will likely sideline Miller for the rest of the season.

The 49ers are bringing in Owen Marecic who was with the team earlier in the season for a physical. Anthony Dixon who is the backup FB will also get a look.

This would be a big loss for the 49ers as Miller was the “swiss army knife” of the offense this season, doing whatever was asked of him. He is also 3rd on the team with 25 receptions for 243 yards.

Chris Biderman of FOX Sports Next is reporting that a source is confirming that Miller has a fracture of the Scapula. Miller was injured on his last reception of the game, a 10 yard completion, when he was hit hard by Bucs safety Keith Tandy.
