Ahmad Brooks extends contract with San Francisco 49ers

Ahmad Brooks of the San Francisco 49ers has signed a six-year extension worth $44.5 million with $17.5 million guaranteed. This extension will keep Ahmad intact in San Francisco through 2017, where he played as a starter for the first time last season. Ahmad has had a rough playing career both in the NFL and in college, starting from his days with the Cavaliers when he was kicked off the team, and being waived by the Cincinnati Bengals. Coming off his best season so far, the 49ers believe Ahmad is a better player and person, thereby offering him a contract extension before he becomes a free agent next month.
