49ers Looking at WR’s in 2012 NFL Draft

In the 2012 NFL Draft, expect the 49ers to look at drafting a WR, on of their weaker positions that they need to address this offseason. With Alex Smith coming off a career year and proving to the 49ers that he may be San Francisco 49ers franchise QB, they will need to find a way to provide him with more explosive weapons other than their dynamic Tight-End, Vernon Davis. With Davis showing the NFL that he can’t be stopped and requiring teams to put a CB on him or at least have a safety keep an eye on him, having an explosive WR to put on the outside would open up a lot of opportunities for the 49ers offense and possibly start scoring touchdowns instead of kicking Field Goals.

Sources are saying that the 49ers are looking at the bigger receivers who will not only be able to stretch the field, but will be able to go over the middle and be tough to take down. With the defense still in a good position to be dominant, the 49ers are hoping to improve their offense by adding more weapons to the outside.
