Friday’s Final Thoughts

Injury Concerns
Tarell Brown injured his knee during the week and is questionable for Sunday’s game. Frank Gore and Ray McDonald are also listed as questionable, but are expected to play.

Kevin Kolb has still been limited in practice and is unlikely to play. Joey Porter and Kerry Rhodes have been ruled out. .

He Can Still Give You “Fitz”
I know it’s the most obvious concern for the 49ers defense, but with questions at quarterback, an average running game, and the lack of other threats in the passing game, controlling Larry Fitzgerald is a must to shutdown the Cardinals.

Don’t Punt to Peterson
Alot of 49er fans wanted Patrick Peterson with the seventh pick in last April’s draft, but he was too talented for the Cardinals to pass up and it has paid off nicely for them. Peterson has been solid at cornerback with two interceptions, but he has really made his mark as a punt returner. He is averaging 17.6 yards per return and has returned three for touchdowns.
